History:

Dr Kurt Ayerst is a South East Kent, UK based dermatologist who has taken an extended sabbatical from his NHS post and now divides his time between general dermatologic private practice, the charity sector and teledermatology R&D.

During his 25 years of SA and UK health service he has held a range of senior national roles including the British Association of Dermatologists (BAD) Skin Cancer Sub-committee Chair, regional skin cancer network and local specialist skin cancer multidisciplinary meeting (SSMDT) chairs.

He has also served tenures as the Trust Cancer Lead, Departmental Clinical Lead, Dermatology Clinical Reference Group Chair (NHS England) and been a national peer reviewer and BAD Trust service reviewer for extended periods.

While more focused on telehealth in the last 4 years he continues to support national programs including National Casemix Office, Expert Working Group, BAD Clinical Services Unit as well as attending meetings, events and teaching sessions locally and nationally and trans Europe.
